Adult Religious Education

The adult religious education class meets each Sunday morning at 9:45 a.m. in the sanctuary of the church building. These classes take the form of interactive presentations by the priest of the parish, allowing the participants to ask questions relative to the discussion. This class will be focused on the weekly epistle readings.

 

An adult religious education class is also offered on Wednesday evenings from January 23 - March 13, 2013. The Wednesday class will be book discussion on "Wounded by Love: The Life and the Wisdom of Elder Porphyrios"

Wednesday Evening Schedule:

5:30 pm – 6:30 pm Paraklesis (Supplication) to the Theotokos Prayer Service
6:30 pm – 7:00 pm Lenten Potluck Dinner
7:00 pm – 8:00 pm Book Discussion

January 23: Introduction, Elder’s life reviewed, overview of class and
begin discussion with his wisdom "on the Church".
January 30: "On Prayer"
February 6: "On Spiritual Struggle" NO CLASS
February 13: "On the Mystery of Repentence"
February 20: "On Love for Neighbor"
February 27: "On Divine Providence" NO CLASS
March 6: "On the Upbringing of Children"
March 13: "On Illness"
